About the Product

Vibro Meter CP 216 Piezoelectric Pressure Transducer

The Vibro Meter CP 216 is a rugged, high-performance piezoelectric pressure transducer engineered for dynamic pressure monitoring in extreme environments. Built with man-made piezoelectric material in compression mode, it delivers exceptional stability for long-term testing or continuous operation in harsh conditions like gas turbines.

Extreme Environmental Performance

  • Temperature Range: Continuous operation from -54°C to 470°C (-65°F to 878°F); extreme applications extend to -70°C to 520°C (-94°F to 968°F).
  • Connector Options: Vibro-Meter high-temperature connector (-70°C to 650°C) or LEMO connector (-55°C to 155°C) for versatile installation.
  • Durability: Hermetically welded NIMONIC® alloy 90 housing resists corrosion; INCONEL® alloy 600 cable ensures humidity and chemical tolerance.
  • Shock & Vibration: Withstands <2000 g peak shock (half sine, 1 ms duration) along the sensitive axis, suitable for high-vibration environments.

Installation & Integration

  • Cable Design: Integral mineral-insulated twin-conductor cable with capacitance of 320 pF (transducer) + 200 pF/m (cable) pole-to-pole, and 13 pF (transducer) + 300 pF/m (cable) pole-to-casing.
  • Signal Processing: Requires a charge converter (e.g., IPC 704 signal conditioner) for optimal performance; no input power needed for the transducer itself.
  • Termination: Compatible with LEMO connectors or Vibro-Meter’s proprietary high-temperature connectors; custom cable assemblies available for direct connection to signal conditioners.

Calibration & Reliability

  • Factory Calibration: Dynamically calibrated at 1 bar peak and 2 Hz (+23°C) during production; no subsequent calibration required for long-term use.
  • Insulation Resistance: >10⁹ Ω at ambient temperature; >5×10⁴ Ω at 450°C (842°F), ensuring electrical stability in high-heat conditions.
  • Radiation Tolerance: Unaffected by gamma flux (10¹⁰ erg/g) and neutron flux (10¹⁷ n/cm²), suitable for nuclear or high-radiation environments.

Packaging & Shipping

  • Included Components: Vibro Meter CP 216 transducer with 0.5m integral cable, connector (per specification), and installation guide.
  • Shipping Options: Global delivery via Fedex, UPS, or DHL for fast and secure transportation to your facility.
