Product Introduction

The MTL3052 is an intrinsically safe (IS) interface barrier designed for digital signal transmission in hazardous areas. It operates at higher frequencies than the MTL3042, making it ideal for MTL800 Series multiplexer systems. The unit ensures safe data highway and transmitter communication while offering flexible output configurations.

Engineers can choose between two output circuits—15V/180Ω or 15V/100Ω—to accommodate different loop resistance needs, such as systems with surge protectors. However, in dual-highway setups using low-resistance outputs, transmitter placement is restricted to IIB atmospheres.
